Six Reasons Cameron Park Homeowners Choose Our Crew
- California C-15 Specialty License: We carry the official state license for flooring and floor covering work. Not every contractor has this.
- Liability and Workers' Insurance: Every job is covered. Your home and our crew are both protected on every visit.
- Twenty Years in Cameron Park: We know the Sierra foothill climate. Hot, dry summers and cold winters affect every floor differently. We plan for that.
- Power Stretcher on Every Room: We never just knee-kick and walk away. We use a power stretcher so your carpet stays flat for years.
- Written Price Up Front: We hand you a full quote before we pick up a tool. No surprise charges at the end.
- Full Cleanup After Every Job: We bag the old carpet, sweep the subfloor, and vacuum the new carpet before we leave your home.

How We Go From Bare Floor to Finished Carpet

Free Home Visit
We walk through your rooms, inspect the subfloor, and take measurements. We tell you what we find before we quote anything.

Old Carpet and Pad Removal
We pull up the existing carpet, foam pad, and tack strips. We bag everything for disposal so your space stays clear.

Subfloor Check and Repair
We look for soft spots, squeaking panels, and moisture on the bare subfloor. On plywood, we drive screws into any loose panels to stop movement.

New Tack Strip Install
We nail fresh tack strips around the perimeter of each room, about a half inch from the wall base.

Padding Layout and Stapling
We roll out the rebond pad across the full floor and staple it flat. The padding stops just before the tack strip edge so the carpet can hook in cleanly.

Carpet Cut and Placement
We unroll the new carpet, rough-cut it to size, and position it over the padding. We leave a few inches of overhang at each wall for final trimming.

Power Stretching Across the Room
We hook one end onto the tack strips and use the power stretcher to pull the carpet tight across the full width. This step is what keeps the floor flat for years.

Seam Bonding and Edge Trim
Where two pieces of carpet meet, we seal the joint with a seam iron and tape. Then we trim the edges along the walls and tuck the carpet behind the tack strips.

Transitions and Final Vacuum
We install transition strips at doorways. Then we vacuum the new carpet and walk you through the finished room before we leave.
